Club Policy
There is no cost to join.
Depending on the Wine Club level you join, you will receive a number of complimentary tastings, 5-15% savings on wine purchases and merchandise, special shipping pricing, invitations to events, and access to library wines. Your benefits begin as soon as you join.
Our membership is automatically billed five times per year unless otherwise requested. Billing months: February, April, June, September, and December.
Your membership lasts as long as you would like it to. We require a minimum of three Wine Club releases, or members will be subjected to a $150 cancellation fee.
You will receive an email notification 1 week prior to the billing of your release, letting you know the selection, cost and add-on options. Receipts will be sent upon billing and releases will ship or become available for pickup 1 week after billing.
By default, all wines in your release will be red wines only. However, members are able to customize each individual release and can swap out, or add on, other red wines, white wines, or rosé based on availability.
We encourage members to bring guests with them and enjoy complimentary tastings (members do have to be present in order for guests to take advantage of benefits). Your membership benefits only extend to the person on the account and their spouse/partner.
Members have complete access to your personal account information through the James Cole website under the Manage Account page.
Yes, $1 shipping applies to the current standard method of shipping. Each order and address must have at least 3 bottles of wine to qualify for $1 shipping.
The shipping service we use will make three delivery attempts before returning the wine to us. If the wine is returned to the winery, we can reship the order for a $30 fee. We suggest that you provide an address that will assure you receive the delivery, such as a place of business, with someone over the age of 21 present to sign for your order.
If the wine has not been delivered, you may request it to be returned for a refund with a $30 fee.
In the unlikely event that a bottle arrives damaged or corked (we inspect the wines incredibly closely before shipment), notify us as soon as possible and we will replace the damaged merchandise.
All pick-up members will receive an email notifying them of the release. The pick up party is an opportunity for you to sample the wines, pick up your shipment, and enjoy the benefits of being part of the Wine Club. If you are unable to pick up your release after 45 days, we will conveniently ship the wine to you. Shipping charges will be applied to the credit card we have on file.
Yes, you can have a friend or family member pick up your release. Just be sure to send us an email or give us a call with the name of the person so we can make a note on your account.
Yes! Wine Club can skip a maximum of two consecutive releases per year. Longer durations require cancellation, which may be subjected to the $150 cancellation fee if the member cancels before receiving three releases.
We hate to see you go, but if you wish to cancel your membership we ask that you give notice two weeks before the release of the next club release. We require members receive three releases before cancellation, or they will be charged a $150 cancellation fee. If we do not receive timely notice, you will be required to accept the current release.
We suggest that you provide an address that will guarantee you receive a delivery, such as a place of business, with someone over the age of 21 present to sign for your order.

Yes! Each release is fully customizable. If you would like to add-on or change your release, please do so online or by emailing service@jamescolewinery.com prior to billing.
Our default shipping method is via UPS or FedEx ground. (1-7 business days) An adult 21 or older must be present to sign for the package upon delivery. For more information about shipping please see our shipping page. If you would like to make adjustments to your shipping method contact us at service@jamescolewinery.com.
Active Wine Club members of James Cole Winery enjoy 2 complimentary Lubrication Tastings at Tank Garage Winery per visit with prior reservation. To reserve your complimentary tastings, you may book online with Tank Garage Winery and identify yourself as a member during the booking process or call the winery directly at (707) 942-8265. Please note, no other benefits such as discounts or wine access transfer.
