As with all of our proprietary wines, each bottle has a deep and personal meaning for us. Mud's Kitchen is named after James' grandmother, Margaret 'Mud' Madu, and her farmhouse kitchen where he grew up learning about flavors and life's great lessons. We certainly think that's something to raise a glass to!

Sourced from Clone #7 Cabernet Sauvignon from our estate, the grapes also give us an intense soft lushness that we really desire in our wines. With Mud's Kitchen, we hoped to showcase this wonderful clone and the intense muscular core and long expressive finish it gives us.

Aromas of dried violets, black cherry, cassis, and herbs de Provence with hints of cedar and graphite. The palate reveals ripe black fruit, dark cherry, and milk chocolate, accented by clove, tobacco, and leather. Fine-grained tannins provide elegance, while still bright acidity adds freshness. The finish is long, balanced, and layered with subtle spice and minerality. A refined and classic Napa Cabernet Sauvignon that is in a perfect drinking window. Recommended to decant for a minimum of 30 minutes.
