As with all of our proprietary wines, each bottle has a deep and personal meaning for us. Mud's Kitchen is named after James' grandmother, Margaret 'Mud' Madu, and her farmhouse kitchen where he grew up learning about flavors and life's great lessons. We certainly think that's something to raise a glass to!

Sourced from Clone #7 Cabernet Sauvignon from our estate, the grapes also give us an intense soft lushness that we really desire in our wines. With Mud's Kitchen, we hoped to showcase this wonderful clone and the intense muscular core and long expressive finish it gives us.

Power and grace are the hallmarks of our Mud’s Kitchen Cabernet Sauvignon. Aromas of espresso bean, vanilla, lilac, currants, blackberries, and blueberries jump from the glass while intense flavors of plum, dark chocolate and blackberry coat the palate. As a James Cole favorite, this is a classic Napa Cabernet in every sense of the word. Shows well young — and will only improve and continue to impress with more time in the bottle. As we recommend with all our wines, please give this Cabernet the respect it deserves … decant.
