As with all of our proprietary wines, each bottle has a deep and personal meaning for us. Mud's Kitchen is named after James' grandmother, Margaret 'Mud' Madu, and her farmhouse kitchen where he grew up learning about flavors and life's great lessons. We certainly think that's something to raise a glass to!

Sourced from Clone #7 Cabernet Sauvignon from our estate, the grapes also give us an intense soft lushness that we really desire in our wines. With Mud's Kitchen, we hoped to showcase this wonderful clone and the intense muscular core and long expressive finish it gives us.

The 2020 vintage is an enticing mix of raspberry coulis and black currant jam weaves a sweet, decadent core, playfully brightened by pomegranate, cardamon and delicate espresso/dark chocolate coffee beans. Plush tannins, graced with a dark mineral undertone, offer both structure and depth. Silky textures guide each sip, ensuring an experience of finesse and elegance that leaves a long, balanced finished and a lasting memory.
